ACTIU 7 - NEW PLANT STARTED UP.

Always on the move: Actiu stands for contemporary project furnishings 'Made in Spain'. Innovative solutions go hand in hand with sustainable environmental initiatives. All products are manufactured with heart and pioneering spirit in the company's own LEED and WELL v2 Platinum certified technology park.

ACTIU 7 - NEW PLANT STARTED UP.

No greenwashing. Living sustainability and efficient manufacturing go hand in hand at Actiu. Technological advances, new machinery and modernization of production processes are essential for the Spanish market leader. The plan for a digital transformation of the company, in line with the principles of lean management, plays a crucial role. A big step in this direction: the state-of-the-art Actiu 7 plant.

The new Actiu 7 (A7) production plant, located right next to the company's own technology park in Castalla near Alicante, features an all-round sustainable architecture. All the panels used in Actiu products are manufactured here: The A7 plant is the first in Spain to use panels containing 0% formaldehyde as standard and to meet the emission standards set by the American EPA TSCA Title VI and CARB Phase II.

All operations are covered by 100% green energy, generated by the photovoltaic system consisting of approximately 700 solar cells. Annually, this plant - in the sunny home of Actius - will generate nearly 470,000 kWh for the required operational runs. A stringent expansion, because the existing Actiu Technology Park also has one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Europe. Awarded LEED Platinum certification, the Actiu headquarters is characterized by state-of-the-art technology and operates in harmony with its environment.

FLUIT - MEDITERRANE, SUSTAINABLE, FLEXIBLE.

A 100 percent sustainable chair - Fluit. Designed by Italian studio Archirivolto Design, made from fully recycled polypropylene and fiberglass. The focus is on a circular and sustainable economic concept, characterized by its fluid character and sensitivity. With a slim silhouette yet durable robustness, it adapts to a wide range of environments. Archirivolto Design's designers were inspired by a Dutch sailing ship and the characteristics of the Mediterranean Sea.

Fluit is made up of two components: 80 percent of the material used in its manufacture is certified recycled plastic from the agricultural and food sectors. The remaining 20 percent of the material is glass fiber, also recycled. The thoughtful combination of both materials reinforces its resistance, as does the gas injection process used by Actiu - an innovative industrial process that not only increases the chair's durability, but also gives it a tactilely pleasant soft surface.

Thanks to its UV protection combined with a fluid lightweight design, this flexible chair can be used both indoors and in covered outdoor areas. Stackable, upholstered, with or without armrests - Fluit easily meets a variety of needs. Contemporary color combinations in mustard, white, black, gray and green are available.
