AD December 2015 Reading Sample

For our gift special, we've already written our Christmas wish list - and it has 19 pages! On it: KPM's Moon Sheep, Gio Ponti's Mirror, Benjamin Voisin's Commode, a Tomato Cocotte, Christmas tree baubles from Hermès, Panerai's table clock - and the most beautiful books of the year. "From out of the woods I come..." - we met Torben Hansen, the master of annual rings, who laid his trees at our feet: with curiosity and stubbornness, the Bavarian Dane elicits fresh facets from an age-old material. Pierre Yovanovitch conjured up the miracle of Uri: his penthouse in Andermatt has everything a chalet needs - hearty wood, warmth and that certain something that takes tradition to unimagined heights. And 200 miles from Seattle, architect Tom Kundig's pavilion ensemble created four snow cubes where you're actually always outside. Perhaps you, too, will say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one in a snowy winter wonderland! Click here for the reading sample.
