This Finnish retreat is located in the middle of Wedding
Actually Christoph Kümmecke works as a PR consultant specialized in furniture, but his apartment in Berlin Wedding also shows him as a subtle interior designer. Our partner blog Herz und Blut visited him at home with the camera.

Alvar Aalto would be satisfied: In Berlin's Wedding, Christoph Kümmecke furnishes his home in a minimalist, Scandinavian style. "An apartment should tell stories," thinks the PR consultant. His Berlin apartment is a minimalist refuge full of unexciting furniture classics. Kümmecke combines these with lesser-known pieces that also easily have what it takes to become classics. Kümmecke focuses primarily on Scandinavian brands, although he finds "an overbred Skandi chic less inspiring." Incidentally, the secret star of the apartment is also a Scandinavian: in almost every room there is at least one design by Alvar Aalto for Artek.
Mirror "Georg" by Skagerak. The Samsung Serif TV stands on Artek's "Aalto Bench 153 A", the flowerpot "Riihitie" is also by Artek.
