Vase and sculpture in one: the dazzling designs of Utopia & Utility
At the Utopia & Utility design studio, the name says it all: siblings Pia and Moritz Wüstenberg combine visionary forms and functional design in their designs.
The vases consist of several individual parts, which can also be used independently. Utopia & Utility
The founders of "Utopia & Utility" grew up in a German-Finnish family and with the influence of both cultures. This is probably why the European idea of their products is so palpable, as in Pia Wüstenberg's "Sculpt Stacking Vessels" (2000 or 950 euros): The glass is mouth-blown in the Czech Republic, the wood is turned from forest bark in Finland, the brass base is chased in England - and everything is combined near Rendsburg.
This 2018 model uses acacia wood from Germany, which is first turned in a two-part process and then smoked in a barrel.
The vases consist of several individual parts, which can also be used independently of each other.
